This is a comedic film about a man named Jerry (Jack Black) who accidentally destroys every tape in a friend’s video store when his brain becomes magnetized. With all the tapes blank, Jerry and the store owner Mike (Mos Def) feel indebted to the store’s only loyal customer, an old woman who has dementia, and come to a decision. They will recreate all of the movies in the store to satisfy the woman. Since the elderly lady has a loose grip on reality, Jerry and Mike’s efforts appear quite intense and this is funny. The lost films they endeavor to remake include The Lion King, Robocop and Back to the Future. Chalk it up as an interesting idea. –forrest green III
