This sequel finds Inspector Lee (Jackie Chan) and Detective Carter (Chris Tucker) together again, trying to rescue a Chinese ambassador, his daughter and a woman with a dangerous secret. The ambassador may be on the edge of cracking a massive organized crime syndicate called the Triads. But what are actor Max von Sydow and notorious director Roman Polanski doing in a film full of slapstick comedy that exploits racial stereotypes for laughs? Enjoying the fun provided by Chan and Tucker, who have incredible chemistry together, and director Brett Ratner, that’s what. This is a sequel that is every bit as entertaining and high quality as its predecessors.
