Board Member National Minority AIDS Council

The National Minority AIDS Council (NMAC) is a well-respected national organization dedicated to addressing the challenges of HIV/AIDS within communities of color. Leonardo Ortega serves on the board of NMAC and attended the United States Conference on AIDS as a support member.

“It’s my role to support the agenda and talk about the issues related to HIV/AIDS,” he says. His passion for the cause is pure, and his compassion spreads far beyond the scope of the organization. “It is important for people to remember that, no matter your background, HIV/AIDS affects us all,” explains Mr. Ortega. “We can all learn something from each other at this conference; whether it be [about] treatment or intervention.” - delgie jones II
