“If you have a Bower’s sign on your property … hurry home, you’re moving,” is the motto used by one of the most sought after real estate agencies in Detroit, ERA Bowers & Associates. With almost 40 years of knowledge and expertise to draw from, it is no wonder that president and CEO Darralyn Bowers has managed to keep her company in the black in a rapidly declining market.

“We strive to be the best. We strive to be cutting edge in terms of expertise and knowledge, and we feel that gives us a stronger position against our competition. She says the current environment is a “buyer’s market,”and cites this as being the opportune time for homebuyers to get the best value for their money.

Bowers finds that even after becoming a member of the Detroit Association of Realtors, building a successful book of business, and making a name for herself, she still finds satisfaction in working hand-in-hand with buyers and sellers and assisting with the home buying experience. “Once you’ve taken them through that very emotional process, moving all the way through [to] the conclusion, you become a part of the their lives and I enjoy that,” she says. -janaya black
