When creativity and resourcefulness cross paths with an enterprising spirit, attaining success is expected, but a rapid ascent to the the top of one’s field might be surprising. This couldn’t be more true for Bartel Welch, president and CEO of FMWebmasters, LLC. What started out as a hobby three years ago, has grown into a lucrative business venture. “[The] first year, I was working out of my bedroom; [the] second year I moved into a 1,100-square-foot building; and [the] third year we moved into a 6,500-square-foot building,” he reveals.

As one third of 360 Media Group, FMWebmasters is a full-service printing, graphic, and Web design company. Their competitive edge lies heavily in the fact that they use the latest technology to offer their clients superior products to elevate their business image. They also have the ability to do all printing onsite, whereas other companies often outsource their work.

Due to the vast increase in business, the opportunity to venture into other markets has presented itself as a very real component within the next two years. He’s planning to franchise offices in Atlanta, Miami and Las Vegas.

“It’s starting with our new online ordering system that we’re about to put up,” he explains. “Once that’s up, it’s on the Internet and anybody can order from anywhere at anytime.” With the new system in place, Welch believes that it will only be a matter of time before his company is fully operational on a national level. –jayana black
