Whether you know her as Shadia Ball or by her public moniker, "Shadi-B," you know that Ms. Ball isn't standing still for anything. As a summer intern at Detroit's Hot 102.7 radio station, Ball has been involved with numerous promotions from release parties and concerts to station-sponsored youth events. She has even promoted parties for NFL defensive back, Chris Roberson. When queried about how she got into promotions, she replied, "I met [local promoter] 'T-Woods' by chance one evening, and he asked me if I promoted release parties and public appearances. I told him, 'No, but I will.' Since then, the she has kept herself busy by promoting the hottest parties in Detroit and creating a reputation in Detroit's nightclub scene.

Although she is successful in promotions, her true passion lies elsewhere. "Media broadcasting is my passion, and my dream is to work in any form of on-air media as the talent director or producer," she says.

When not studying communications at Oakland University in Rochester, Mich., this striking beauty shadows Hot 102.7 radio personality, Spudd. She is grateful for the opportunity to build relationships and network within the industry. "I get to do what I love to do because I've been afforded the opportunity by some really great people," Ball explains. "Kebina Young gave me the opportunity to work in promotions, and I thank her for that wonderful exposure." - delgie jones II
