Assistant Vice President for Agency Distribution, Allstate Insurance Company

When people think of reputable insurance companies that are deeply rooted in the communities in which they serve, Allstate Insurance is among the first to receive mention. As the company's assistant vice president for agency distribution, Sharon Rossmark has been a key contributor towards Allstate's growth in the community in addition to how they are viewed in terms of diversity.

"Because of the empowerment of the organization, we feel it's critical to support diversity and what it stands for in the country as well as in the local communities and Allstate is a huge supporter of all of that," says Rossmark. Also an active member of the National Urban League, Rossmark believes that establishing working relationships with such organizations is a winning combination when trying to establish a larger community and professional presence.

"For me, it's about paving roles. It empowers me and it has helped me along the way in terms of providing opportunities that I would have never knew existed had the National Urban League not been in existence," adds Rossmark.

With Allstate always being held in such high regard, continuing to strengthen all aspects of the organization from an internal perspective has been something that Rossmark and employees of Allstate take very seriously.

"In 27 years the company has evolved a lot, and one of the things that's [been] important through all the years is diversity and having qualified representation in all levels of the organization. I'm proud to be a part of the Allstate family, but more importantly, I'm proud for what Allstate stands for in the community," says Rossmark. - jason thompson
