Manager, Succezz
It’s no secret — Chicago’s South Loop is on the rise. New high-rise apartments, condominiums and specialty businesses are sprouting up all over to serve the area’s changing needs.
Succezz is the newest retail addition. Since opening on June 21, Succezz has created quite a buzz among urbanites looking to stay ahead of the fashion curve. According to the owners — New Jersey Nets forward Bobby Simmons and Lavelle Sykes (an athletic shoe aficionado and former buyer for Tony’s Sports), the boutique is a one-stop shop for guys and gals looking for the “right look.”
“We want to bring to Chicagoans a new environment, a feel, a different outlook on life as far as fashion goes,” says manager Marvin McCowan.
Trendy, yet unique items in the store boast labels that will leave most fashion experts reaching for their wallets: t-shirts by Christian Audigier (of Von Dutch and Ed Hardy fame), and premium denim lines like Robins, True Religion and Yoropiko, and there’s even Toxic Fish and Blackburn. For sneaker connoisseurs, Succezz is the only store in Chicago that has a design lab where customers can customize their own style
“What I tend to do is bring a different flavor,” he says. “I don’t want you to blend in, looking like the ‘average Joe.’ I want to make you stand out and be very appealing to the eye.”-tony binns
Succezz will offer charity basketball tournaments and back-to-school giveaways in September. For more information, visit the store.
