Area Sales Manager,
Chase Home Lending
As area sales manager for Chase Home Lending, Josh Askins works hard to help potential homeowners make smart decisions regarding their financial futures. That commitment led Askins to take part in the Legacy of Homeownership Tour presented by Chase.
“[People] need to take the time to feel empowered to make a financial decision — the choice to become a homeowner,” says Askins. “We believe there’s no better way to create wealth than buying a home and simply living in it. The most important thing is that people have the courage and feel empowered about the ability to become a homeowner and create wealth.”
Askins feels that a large part of the minority community is not properly informed when it comes to homeownership and he’s passionate about remedying that disturbing trend.
“There’s been a disparity in homeownership and [Chase wants] to close that gap. We’re reaching out to the community. It’s part of being a responsible lender. For those that have created wealth, they can look back and say probably the most [important] financial decision [they made] … was the decision to buy a home,” he says, adding that Chase wants to help people build wealth for the long-term and create better lives for future generations. “We really want to focus on the legacy — not [just] today — but later on in each of our lives. That’s why this becomes so important. Let today be the beginning of your financial legacy.” –todd williams
