There are few financial decisions as monumental as the decision to buy a home. Unfortunately, many don’t have the tools to make wise decisions during the process. The 2008 Legacy of Homeownership Tour is designed to solve that problem. “The tour is really our pride and joy,” says Jen Leung, vice president of Emerging Markets for Chase Home Lending. “We want to empower consumers and provide them with the information they need to become a responsible homeowner.”
“Buying a home is one of the largest financial endeavors most consumers will ever be involved in, and it really is a cornerstone for building a legacy for the future,” she continues. “[We want] consumers to walk away feeling good and feeling confident and knowing where to go to get information to make the right decisions.” Leung is passionate and committed to the tour’s goals. She takes a hands-on role with the tour, and is always attentive to the details and responsive to attendees’ needs, comments and questions.
“The consumers come away feeling empowered and very excited. They feel like they [know] which direction to go in. Either they’re ready right now or they find out they’re not ready yet, which is equally important,” explains Leung. “[I love] just knowing that we’re doing something that I feel really good about. It’s [about] knowledge, [and] getting folks into a home. We’re helping them get to that goal of getting a home and creating that legacy.”–todd williams
