Dealer Meetings and Special Events Manager, Lexus Marketing
Monica Womack’s duties as dealer meetings and special events manager at Lexus have to be executed with unqualified earnestness, meticulous attentiveness to detail, and copious data collection during her scrupulous inspections of prospective meeting places and incentive trips. Womack’s responsibilities mandate frequent intercontinental expeditions to five-star exotic locales, hotels and restaurants, replete with luxurious amenities.
“All the travel programs that we develop are to primarily inspire and motivate and encourage dealers to achieve their sales objectives at the highest levels. And we don’t do just any trip; we do it the Lexus way. And we give them a trip experience that they cannot duplicate on their own,” she says. For example, if Lexus sends a dealer family or couple to, say, Barcelona, Spain, or South Africa, they will also include an experience to another part of the country that the travel award winners would never think of venturing to.
“The trips are highly coveted and it breeds a lot of competition among participants,” Womack shares. “And it helps us obtain our objectives, which is to increase market levels and incentivize our sales managers and dealers towards reaching our sales objectives.”
Womack is also a member of the African American Collaborative, which helps encourages and develops African Americans toward upward mobility within Lexus and Toyota. “The mission of the AAC is primarily focused on the development and retention of its members,” Womack said of the 1-year-old, 100-member plus organization at the Torrance Toyota location. “We do a lot of activities [and] talk about career development and business strategy.”
