President, IMJ Reesources

After a rewarding career as a housewife, and having raised three successful children, Ilinda Reese felt a strong desire to take on new challenges and launch the next chapter in her life. So, she did what any grandmother would do and went back to school, got two degrees in psychology and behavioral science, authored several books and created her own talk show, “TCB” (Taking Care of Business), which airs on Time Warner Cable.

“About five years ago, when I was working for a nonprofit agency doing professional development training,” explains Reese, “I decided it was time to go out on my own, so I founded IMJ Reesources.” The mission of IMJ Reesources is to help people learn and grow through their transitional stages in life by offering assistance with personal and professional development: career training, personal coaching and all of the accompanying resources. Because of her excellent ratings and feedback provided by inspired staff regarding her ‘edutainment technique,’ Reese is continually brought back by corporations.

“I had a participant in one of my workshops who felt that life was near the end for her — she was 60-plus,” recounts Reese. “She didn’t know who would hire her and she had a very negative energy level [in] conversation. As a result of one of my workshops, I saw the light go on as she began to change her language and speak in a positive sense. She got hired at Progressive Insurance, created a booklet that had her picture on it and she sent a dedication to me that said, ‘I may be a late bloomer, but I still bloom.’ -adam jones
