Account Executive, Time Warner Cable Business Class
As a successful account executive at Time Warner Cable Business Class, Crystal Byrd is always looking for an edge to take her to the next level. Byrd found it when she attended the Braylon Edwards Foundation’s “Women Moving Forward & Reaching Back” luncheon, which she says motivated her to strive to even greater heights.
“Actually, it inspires me. It’s nice to see a nice mix of older women, younger women, and everyone is coming together, smiling, everyone’s happy,” says Byrd, an Akron native who attended the black women’s gala in nearby Cleveland. “I like that atmosphere. It definitely makes me want to strive further, to give back to the community more. That’s important.”
During the day, Byrd promotes Time Warner’s portfolio featuring its phone, Internet and cable assets to small- and medium-sized businesses. She accomplishes her business objectives by attending a plethora of meetings, networking events and galas like the one in Cleveland.
“It’s important for me as a black female at Time Warner Cable ... to reach out to our people in our community,” she says. “So I wanted to make sure that I [met] with the people here [who own] small and medium-sized businesses, [to] see what I can do [to help them]. And I also support Braylon Edwards and his foundation.”
