Co-Founder and President, One Voice Worldwide
Sam Orum knows a thing or two about business. He’s president and co-founder of One Voice Worldwide, and he’s discovered the keys to effective brand-building. One Voice is the only black-owned telecomm and energy provider, providing long distance service in 42 states as well as electricity and gas services. “We’re currently expanding and adding a new division,” says Orum. “A social media company that launches in April.”
One Voice has been successful due to Orum’s and his colleagues’ understanding of various ways to brand and market that brand. “We started it three years ago [and] the difficult part is just building [a] particular concept and brand from the ground floor,” explains Orum. “[We] had had success previously and wanted to come together and give the [public] an opportunity to have the same type of quality services with a reputable company, [and] we’ve partnered with reputable providers.”
Orum is also committed to community empowerment. “We’re putting together a tour called the It’s Our Time Tour. It’s focused on wealth, health and prosperity,” explains Orum. “A lot of people have lost hope in terms of their future. We wanted to get some people who have been successful, and put together an event that people [can] attend and [gain] some semblance of hope.” –todd williams
