There’s a reason Grand Central Lounge is rated one of Detroit’s best nightclubs; owner, Chad Rowe. Recently Grand Central Lounge was honored as 2007’s “Best Club” and “Best Club VIP” by Plugged Detroit and Metro Times, respectively. It goes without saying that the club’s success can be traced back to its entertainment-savvy creator, Rowe, and his dream of reinventing the Detroit night life. “It’s new wave; it’s New York and Miami meets Detroit,” Rowe says in describing the club’s posh, hip atmosphere. “It’s pretty much the hottest thing going.”

From exclusive celebrity parties to their famed High Status Thursdays, Grand Central has proven to be a great place for revelry. An entertainment veteran and entrepreneur at heart, Rowe’s foray into the club scene was inevitable. “Entertainment has always been a passion of mine, and it’s a passion that’s turned into a business,” he admits. “I think when you have an opportunity to follow what your passion is, then you should go ahead, take the opportunity and do it.”

Through following his dream and sharing his vision with club-goers throughout D-Town, Rowe claims to have created a unique social gathering establishment in the city and will not hesitate to boast. “It’s unique because we create an atmosphere that’s unlike anything else in Detroit,” he says. “The atmosphere that we provide is chic and sexy — it’s hot.
