Antoine Bryant knew that he was in for something when he decided to start his own business, however he remained committed to his vision and founded the Bryant Design Group, LLC to better serve the community and to more fully realize his architectural ambitions.

“Starting a business is much more than having a passion,” he says. “You have to have all of the quantifiable data to be able to start a business. It’s key to understanding what your niche is and how you can deliver, and what differentiates you from other businesses that are out there.”

With that wisdom in tow, the Brooklyn native moved to Houston in 2003 and set about bringing his dream to fruition. “Once you start a business, you must have the emotional and financial resources to do so,” he explains. “Be it loans from banks or family funds, you have to make sure you have it in place. You really have to have that passion and desire, [because] you’re actually going to be working more than you would if you were working for someone else.”

At the end of the day, Bryant gets his greatest reward in knowing that he’s building for the future and using his craft to benefit his family.

“Supporting my wife and my young family is tremendously gratifying,” he shares. “When you’re doing architecture and design, you’re creating something out of nothing ... the opportunity to make a difference and show something that’s real, is phenomenal.” –todd williams
