Founder and President, PR Networks
John Graves likes to joke that he’s, “below the radar,” in the world of public relations. Quite contrary to his own humility, Graves has established himself as one of the go-to guys on the Midwest’s public relations scene as the founder and president of PR Networks, Inc.
Graves has established a remarkable track record and boasts a client list that includes Coca-Cola, the Detroit Red Wings and the Detroit Tigers. Graves was on hand recently to celebrate the birthday of Detroit Pistons All-Star shooting guard, Richard “Rip” Hamilton. “Even though it’s a birthday, it’s always good to honor individuals who are doing a lot in the community,” he says respectfully. “Rip is a great guy, on and off the court. He’s doing a lot with our youth and he’s a pretty fair player also.”
Graves isn’t so bad himself. As well as helping businesses and organizations build their brands, he’s been a force in the community for as long as anyone can remember. Though he claims to be an underdog of sorts, the man who regularly flirts with the idea of retirement, will be recognized as one of the best in the business.
“I’m getting [up in] age, so I’m in a semi-retired mode, but I’ll probably be doing some development,” he says, jokingly about his future. “I’m just going to expand my existing customers, service them better and help grow my business so they can increase their market share.” – gavin philip godfrey
