Founder, Greg Nared Agency

After 20 years in the business, and managing the careers of talents like über-golfer Tiger Woods and teen-phenom Michelle Wie, Greg Nared has opened his own sports management agency. Based in Portland, Ore., the Greg Nared Agency is building its empire on the foundation of Nared’s successful career as a special projects manager and business affairs manager for Nike’s U.S. sports marketing division and vice president of the golf division at the William Morris Agency.

“It’s like any other job … you’re working and grinding. You’re trying to create your image and get your name out there to let people know what you’re doing these days,“ says Nared regarding his entrepreneurial objectives. “I’ve had the opportunity to work with some great athletes, and hopefully, that transcends to the Greg Nared Agency. I feel that I have a pretty good reputation out there as someone who works hard and comes with honesty and integrity. It’s important to network and grow your base. You’ve got to have some folks believe in who you are and what you do,” offers the sports talent expert.

Nared currently represents LPGA golfer Nicole Castrale, an American Solheim Cup player who ranks 25th in the world, and young skier Sammy Carlson, the 2007 Slopestyle silver medalist.

Heralded as the glue that bonded ‘Team Tiger,’ Nared was an important factor in establishing the world’s greatest golfer as a brand name. He was with Tiger during the first eight years of his career. The University of Maryland graduate declares, “He was one of the greatest golfers that you’ll ever see in [your] lifetime.” – yvette caslin
